from the 3/7/2007 Meeting Notes
One of the goals of the nights meeting was to network together and get to know each other. I believe we all felt encouraged to find out that there are others who have become very knowledgeable in what ails us as a country and have a burden to do something about it.
Most of our time this evening was given to explaining the problems we see going on in our country, but some time was given toward solutions. One suggestion, given by Bob, was to be familiar with our own Constitution and read it. As if on cue, Lee responded by giving each of us a nice pocket copy of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution! (I think that expresses the atmosphere that was present.) Dave in turn offered some good online sources for the Constitution as well and I have asked him to come here to post those links. I mentioned a high school class on the Constitution that one can take on their own computer. Talk was also given to checking with our public schools to insure that the Constitution is being taught there as well. We all seemed to agree on the need to do that, even Luella who had been up for 36 hours straight, yet decided to come join us. I am very proud to be among such committed people who talk about ways of fixing our country that bring a sense of honor back to being an American! Thank you all for making such an impression upon my life.
I am asking those in attendance to post their take on this meeting. What did you gain from it? I believe such information would be most helpful and beneficial in reaching my next goal which is to help those of you who desire to duplicate what we just did. That is, I would like to see you be the host of such a meeting among your peers. I would gladly come and support you in this. I think in this way we begin to raise the consciousness of Americans to the point we seek to secure and protect our liberties in an effective manner.
Go ahead and find space on this page to post your take on the meeting and any other comments you feel pertinent. (Don’t use the “add comments” button below to report in, but go ahead and click the “easy edit” button and actually edit this page. If that button doesn’t appear then you have not yet registered and signed in. Do that first. Anything you post can be erased, so don’t feel like you can’t make a mistake. We can organize all the information that appears at this site in the most effective manner.)
